Hi, I’m Bill, the painter behind Bravo Miniatures.
I've been painting miniatures for years and specialise in clean, characterful tabletop armies and centrepiece models. My focus is helping hobbyists get painted miniatures onto the tabletop without sacrificing quality.

Still have questions? Take a look at the FAQ or reach out anytime. If you’re feeling ready, go ahead and apply.
HOW DOES THE COMMISSION PROCESS WORK?
Get in touch through the commissions page with what you want painted and any scheme ideas or reference photos. You'll receive a fixed quote up front with no hidden extras. Once agreed, send your models (or I can source new kits at RRP), then follow your project through WIP photos at every stage. When it's finished you approve the final photos and your models are carefully packed and shipped back to you.
HOW MUCH DOES COMMISSION PAINTING COST?
Clear fixed pricing is on the commissions page: infantry from £20 per model, characters from £80, and vehicles from £160. Every quote includes assembly, painting, decals, basing and free UK return shipping. The price you're quoted is the price you pay.
WHAT DOES TABLETOP+ STANDARD MEAN?
Tabletop+ is a step above battle ready. Every model gets clean base colours, shading, picked out details, decals and full basing. It's a standard designed to look great on the table and hold up to close inspection. Advanced techniques like non-metallic metal (NMM), object source lighting (OSL) and glow effects are available on characters and centrepieces, quoted per project.
HOW LONG WILL MY COMMISSION TAKE?
Typical turnaround from receiving your models: single characters 1 to 2 weeks, squads 2 to 3 weeks, vehicles 3 to 4 weeks, and full armies 6 to 12 weeks depending on size. You'll be given a realistic timeline with your quote, and WIP photos keep you updated throughout. If you need something for a specific date such as a tournament or gift, mention it when you enquire and I'll tell you honestly whether it's achievable.
DO I SUPPLY THE MODELS OR DO YOU?
Either works. Send your own models, built or unbuilt, sprue or part-assembled. Or I can source new kits for you at RRP and add it to the quote. Already undercoated or partially painted models are usually fine too, just mention it when you enquire.
CAN YOU MATCH MY EXISTING ARMY'S COLOUR SCHEME?
Yes. Send clear photos of your existing models and I'll match the scheme as closely as possible. Matching is confirmed with you at the first WIP photo stage before the full batch proceeds.
CAN YOU PAINT A CUSTOM OR HOMEBREW CHAPTER?
Absolutely. Send a description, an army painter screenshot, or reference images and I'll confirm the scheme with you before painting begins. Homebrew chapters and unique schemes are some of my favourite projects.
HOW DO I SEND MY MODELS TO YOU?
Once your commission is booked you'll receive the studio address and packing guidance. Use a tracked, insured service (Royal Mail Special Delivery or a courier) and pack models with plenty of protection. Your finished models are returned by tracked, insured post, and UK return shipping is free on every commission.
DO YOU TAKE INTERNATIONAL COMMISSIONS?
Yes. Clients outside the UK are welcome, including the USA. International shipping is quoted at cost and any customs charges on your side are the client's responsibility. Get in touch and I'll give you a full quote including shipping.
HOW DO PAYMENTS WORK?
A deposit secures your slot in the queue, with the balance due on completion after you've approved the final photos. Payment details are confirmed with your quote. For larger army projects, staged payments can be arranged.
WHAT IF I'M NOT HAPPY WITH SOMETHING?
That's what the WIP photos are for. You see the work at every stage, so anything you want adjusted gets caught early rather than at the end. Reasonable tweaks within the agreed brief are included. My goal is that every client is delighted, which is why progress photos and clear communication are built into every commission.
DO YOU SELL ALREADY PAINTED MINIATURES?
Yes. Ready to ship painted miniatures are listed on the Bravo Miniatures eBay store, and made to order pieces including painted squads, characters and custom dog figurines are on the Etsy shop. Links to both are in the footer.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
The studio is in Cheshire, working with clients across Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, the whole of the UK and internationally.
